CM Murad announces 1,000 Google scholarships for public universities’ students



**Karachi:** In a significant move to empower the youth of Sindh, Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah on Friday announced 1,000 Google scholarships for students enrolled in 10 public universities across the province. 

The scholarships will cover Google Career Certificates, providing students with internationally recognized IT certifications. These certifications are designed to equip young individuals with in-demand digital skills, enabling them to compete globally and contribute to Pakistan's growing tech industry.


Speaking at the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Universities & Boards Department and Tech Valley, CM Murad emphasized the importance of embracing Information Technology (IT) in today's digital age. He highlighted the potential of IT to create employment opportunities, especially for young people.

A notable feature of the scholarship program is the 50% allocation for female students, demonstrating the Sindh government's commitment to gender equality and empowering women in the tech sector. 



The initiative is expected to significantly enhance the digital literacy of Sindh's youth and prepare them for the challenges and opportunities of the digital era.
